Who is WomensNet?
WomensNet was created decades ago to help women achieve their business dreams. We offer: free tips on how to get a grant, our own monthly grant, and we promote encouraging stories of woman entrepreneurs just like you.
What is An Amber Grant?
In 1998, we gave our first Amber Grant in honor of 19-year old Amber Wigdahl, who died before fulfilling her business dreams. Today, we award three $10,000 Amber Grants each month. And three of our 36 monthly winners get an additional $25,000 Year-End Amber Grant.

2025 WomensNet’s Grants
WomensNet funds several women business grants throughout the year — $435,000 worth!
To be considered for all these grants, you only need to fill out one application. Yes, it’s that simple.
Monthly Amber Grant
$10,000 winner each month
Each month, we award a $10,000 Amber Grant to one outstanding woman-owned business. All business categories, including non-profits, are eligible. Our judges review each application before deciding on one monthly winner.
Each monthly winner also qualifies for the year-end $25,000 Amber Grant.
Monthly Startup Grant
$10,000 winner each month
Are you in the idea phase of your business? We offer an additional grant opportunity: the WomensNet Startup Grant. We define a “startup” as a business still in the idea phase or one with minimal sales (under $10,000).
While startups are eligible for our monthly Amber Grants, we created this additional grant to support this underserved sector.
Each month, our judges review all applications and award a $10,000 Amber Grant. Monthly winners also qualify for the year-end $25,000 Amber Grant.
Business Category Grants
$10,000 winner each month
When you apply for the Amber Grant, you’re automatically considered for the $10,000 grant in the month you apply.
If your business falls into one of our specific categories, you’re also eligible for a $10,000 Business Category Grant. Your application remains active for
At the end of the year, one of the 12 Business Category Grant winners is selected for a $25,000 year-end grant.
$25,000 Annual Amber Grant
Three winners per year
We award three separate $25,000 grants at the end of each year.
This additional grant is awarded to one of the 12 monthly winners of our (1) Monthly Amber Grant (2) Startup Grant (3) Business Category Grant.
