$10K Startup Grant Awarded to Sanctuary Juice’n Smoothies

Sanctuary Juice’n Smoothies

Woman Entrepreneur:
Tashoni Morales

Tashoni’s mission is to provide an elevated experience to organic nutrition, building a healthy body and community through juicing.

Here’s part of her story:
My Kamitsi (grandma) told me she was diagnosed as diabetic and that although her doctor told her “there is no cure for diabetes, you will live with this for the rest of your life,” she took that as a challenge! She completely shifted her diet and eating habits and one of the main things she implemented was juicing.

Inspired by her, I began doing research and learning the difference between certain juicing equipment, facts and benefits, and the overall juicing industry. When I officially moved back home to my tribe’s reservation in 2021, I began selling juices and smoothies in my grandmother’s front yard. Then I completely sold out at the community Christmas event. From that event, I began delivering custom orders to friends and family who were fighting specific health issues. In June of 2022, Sanctuary Juice’n Smoothies officially opened to the public in our mobile juice bar, which is a little horse trailer we converted. Recently, we purchased a commercial storefront to expand our space and supply the growing local demand for the smoothies.
