It can be tough to find sites offering grants to women-owned businesses. You’ll likely have a choice of daunting government websites, or private sites that seem a bit shady.
Don’t worry: WomensNet will help you find legitimate grants, loans, and other funding for your woman-owned business. Yes, you still have to put in some sweat equity. But the good news is this: if you’re serious about launching your business, you’ll find our site is a key resource.
A good start is with our Amber Grant for Women. Women entrepreneurs from Alaska can apply for this grant, which has been around since 1998.
Here’s how it works…
Our judges award one $1,000 Amber Grant each month. If you win, you automatically have a chance to be awarded our $10,000 year-end grant. In 2018, we’re awarding the most grant money in our 20-year history. And we couldn’t be more excited to meet the future recipient.
If you’re looking for other sources of funding — or other resources for your woman-owned business — feel free to view the links below. You’ll be surprised to discover additional places ready to help business owners in Alaska. Best of luck in your search.
WomensNet launched the Amber Grant in 1998 to honor the memory of an ambitious young woman who died at the age of 19, before she could realize her entrepreneurial aspirations. Today, these grants help women like you fulfill the dreams that Amber could not.
Every month, WomensNet judges award one or more Amber Grants of $1,000 each. Then, at the end of the year, one of those grant recipients is selected to receive the $10,000 Amber Grant.
By telling us your story. There are no lengthy, complicated documents to complete; just answer a few questions about your business. But hurry—applications are due by the end of the month for the next $1,000 Amber Grant.
You’re in luck. We’ve done hours of research and compiled a list of the 20 best small business grants available for women today—and we’d love to share it with you!
