WomensNet Marketing Grant Awarded to Casey To The Rescue

Casey To The Rescue

Woman Entrepreneur:
Chris Lambert

Congratulations to Chris Lambert, Founder of Casey To The Rescue for being a WomensNet Marketing Grant recipient.

Casey To The Rescue Dog Transit was formed in August of 2021. Each of us have been volunteering for many years as a transporter for East Coast Paws, an organization that specifically saves dogs set to be euthanized in Lexington, Kentucky. ECPAWS had a transport vehicle that broke down. We formed this new organization to purchase a new (used) shuttle, insure the shuttle, maintain it and fill it with gas (lots of gas).

Each month, CTTR ventures down from Western NY to Lexington, Kentucky and loads up on average 35-40 dogs, cats, and yes, we have had bunnies! They are transported to Erie PA, Buffalo NY, Rochester NY, & Syracuse NY. They spend the night with over night host, and then are transported by dozens of volunteers to Canada, RI, CT, MA, NH, NJ, etc.

The company is named in memory of Corporal Casey Owen (1981-2014). Casey was a United States Marine, Iraq War veteran, and paralympicathlete from Houston, Texas, United States, famed for his feats of completing marathons in a wheelchair after his legs were amputated for injuries received while on a rescue mission during the Iraq War.

Through her WomensNet Marketing Grant , we helped Chris with:
Website Design
