WomensNet Mini Grant Awarded to Flourish Juice Co

Flourish Juice Co

Woman Entrepreneur:
Kaitlin Soto

Congratulations to Kaitlin Soto, Founder of Flourish Juice Co, for being the WomensNet Mini Grant recipient. As with most influential start-ups, Flourish began as a necessity to fill a huge health void in the community. This health void wasn’t just in the Joliet community, but the entire health community within a 100-mile radius (sometimes further). What started in a home kitchen in 2016 with 10 customers has grown into an expanding commercial facility with hundreds of customers; hopefully thousands in the next year.

As Kaitlin wrote in her application: I’m passionate and dedicated to educating others on how to improve their quality of life through nutrition and earth friendly practices through our business. Recycling, composting, growing, juicing, and creating vegan recipes makes me feel absolutely whole. When you see people practicing these amazing habits learned from you, it’s seriously just breath taking.

Kaitlin will use the WomensNet mini grant to help fund their own geothermal greenhouse for 4 season growing (we live in IL). That produce we grow will not just be used for juicing/food, but also for animal feed, compost, etc. This whole process needs to be carbon offsetting from start to finish. Our current supply chain is messy, inflated, and has worsened due to COVID. We will create our own eco-friendly, sustainable, mini supply chain with the hopes of being carbon neutral or better.

If you want to apply for the 2022 WomensNet Grants, view our website for more information. Applications are currently being reviewed for the $10,000 Amber Grant. You can apply today to be considered.
